National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abdylas Maldybaev hosted a solemn “Friendship” concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern Azerbaijan, prominent statesman of the Turkic world.

 

 

 

 

Representatives of state institutions, local community and Azerbaijani diaspora attended the concert, organized with the joint support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the the National Commission for State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Akif Alaferdov, chairman of Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan Friendship and Cooperation Society, well-known Kyrgyz TV presenter Assol Moldokmatova and director of the Monitoring Center under the State Language Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, doctor of philological sciences, professor Sevinj Aliyeva conveyed speeches at the event held in accordance with activity plan of events to be held in the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” . They talked about unparalleled and invaluable services of Heydar Aliyev for the protection of the national interests of the motherland, Azerbaijani people and the entire Turkic world. It was brought to attention that President Ilham Aliyev continued the political course of a genius personality with great success. It was emphasized that recommendations of the President of Azerbaijan regarding our diaspora and our national-cultural heritage were implemented at a high level by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

 

 

 

The “Oino Orchestra” led by the People’s Artist of Kyrgyzstan Ernis Asanaliyev performed the musical works of prominent Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz composers Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Tofig Guliyev, Muslim Magomayev, Kali Moldobasanov and Aksubay Atabayev, as well as “Shattik” and “Iveria” ensembles performed folk dances of the two countries. The songs were performed by People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Gulyaz Mammadova, Kyrgyz artists Elgiz Beysembayev, Tair Beysheyev, Polina Popikova and Janybek Joomartbekov.

 

 

 

 

Concert aroused a great interest of audience and was welcomed by a storm of applause. After the concert program, Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and Kanybek Osmonaliyev, Chairman of the National Commission for State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, delivered speeches and emphasized the great role of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in establishing and strengthening the friendly and brotherly relations between our countries. They specially mentioned the projects implemented in Kyrgyzstan to perpetuate Heydar Aliyev’s dear memory. It was brought to attention that the presidents of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are realizing the dreams of the national leader regarding the Turkic world at a high level by strengthening the unity between our peoples.

Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, met the members of the Azerbaijani community living in Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”.

Azerbaijanis residing in different cities of Kyrgyz Republic came together in Bishkek.

 

 

 

First, State Anthem of Azerbaijan was performed, then the dear memory of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern Azerbaijan, and our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our country, was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Event continued with the screening of the film dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Welcoming the participants of the meeting, the Chairman Fuad Muradov delivered a comprehensive report on the multifaceted activity and systematic projects implemented by the state committee. Recalling President Ilham Aliyev’s recommendations sounded at the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis regarding the protection of Azerbaijanism ideology and national identity, the Committee Chairman highly appreciated the activity of our diaspora in Kyrgyz Republic. He invited our compatriots to be more active in promoting our language, culture, and emphasized the importance of involving young people in diaspora activity.

 

 

 

Chairman of Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan Friendship and Cooperation Society Akif Alaferdov, Chairman of “Irs” Public Union Khansivar Bakhshaliyev and others delivered speeches at the event. They have told that they are proud to be the diaspora of the victorious nation, and highly appreciated the close cooperation of the Committee and our diaspora in Kyrgyzstan.

 

 

 

The medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan “For Service in Diaspora Activity” awarded to Asad Hasanov, a diaspora activist in Kyrgyzstan, was posthumously presented to deceased’s nephew.

At the end of the community meeting, a wide range of ideas were exchanged and questions were answered.

 

 

 

Then, the Chairman of the Committee was a guest of the family of Azerbaijani Alasgar Safarov, who lives in Pervomaysk village of Sokuluk district of Chuy province, near Bishkek. The Committee chairman has been told that currently 26 Azerbaijani families live in this village. Their ancestors were exiled from different regions of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan during the brutal repression of the 1930s. It was stated that Kyrgyzstan became the homeland of five generations of Azerbaijanis during 90 years. It has been mentioned that Kyrgyzstan was one of the first countries to adopt the law “On compensation to victims of repression”, and descendants of Azerbaijanis exposed to repression in 1933 and born before 1956, received compensation.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that our compatriots are attached to their national roots, they love their historical homeland very much, and they feel proud for Azerbaijan’s Victory in Karabakh.

Chairman of Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan Friendship and Cooperation Society Akif Alaferdov accompanied the Committee chairman.

 

 

 

It should be noted that Sokuluk district was established on February 5, 1935 as Kaganovichsk district, and it was renamed Sokuluk in July 6, 1957. According to, 2009 population census, the total number of the Azerbaijanis of Sokuluk district has made up 2299.

On 11-12 October, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated in the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Bishkek.

 

 

 

In accordance with the agenda, the heads of the foreign ministries of the CIS member states considered more than 20 issues and exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda and interaction in the Commonwealth format.

 

 

 

In his speech, S. Muhriddin stressed that the CIS remains one of the key platforms of multilateral relations for Tajikistan. The Minister noted that Tajikistan has also contributed to the implementation of the concept of the current chairmanship – in 2023, Dushanbe successfully hosted the events of the Interstate Council on Standardisation, Metrology and Certification, the Interstate Council on Space, as well as the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS member states.

S. Muhriddin said that in the rapidly changing world, the CIS faces no less complex tasks than those solved over the past three decades. In this regard, he advocated the continuation of consistent joint work to improve all mechanisms of interaction, primarily on the basis of the decision adopted in 2016 on adapting the Commonwealth to the new realities.

 

 

 

 

At the end of the meeting, the ministers approved and submitted for consideration by the heads of state the issues on the conclusion of the Treaty on the Establishment of the International Organization for the Russian Language, the Action Plan for the Preparation and Celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in World War II (the Great Patriotic War) in the CIS in 2025, the Interstate Programme of Joint Measures to Combat Crime for 2024-2028, as well as a number of agreements and declarations.
